a joke, or not?

Tales about veneration of Jesus’ “Holy Foreskin” should make everyone laugh, but I’m not sure if it’s a joke or not. Can anyone shed some light on this story’s veracity?

Sadly, it’s too late to make the obligatory “second coming” joke…
